nicestupid89 Posted April 26, 2011 Share Posted April 26, 2011 1st i'll explain how i boot the retail dvd i do not change anything in the bios as i follow the Devout guide i used BootCD to boot into chameleon and then i insert the retail dvd in his guide, he says just put -v in the boot and my monitor turns black and the graphics card fan maxed out next i try with boot GraphicsEnabler=No maxmem=4096 my graphics card fan doesnt maxed out but i stuck at the applenforceata it shows still waiting for the root device sometimes it shows applenforceata found 1 unit and then it show applenforceata found 0 units what to do next? i have ASUS M4N68T-M V2 and snow leopard retail 10.6.3 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/255676-applenforceata-found-0-units/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
dothacker Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 maxmem=2048 (you'll have a problem with nforce boards if you go over 2gb...) just add the rest of the ram AFTER installation. verdant Posted May 7, 2011 Share Posted May 7, 2011 Possibly, if you use AppleNForceATA_TEST.kext but this kext does not support > 3GB RAM and even with it you probably will not be able to burn using your SATA DVDRW......
