morsik Posted April 17, 2011 Share Posted April 17, 2011 My first post so i want to say: "Hi everyone!" Ok, now my problem. I have Gigabyte 770TA-UD3 with ALC888 audio. I'm on iATKOS S3 v2 now. I also have nVidia GT240 (works with GraphicsEnabler btw) graphics card which have HDMI output. So, when i installed basic VoodooHDA i see inly 4x Digital Out (HDMI) (on Archlinux i got the same number of HDMIs - but it's other sound card of course). I have only Mic-in in Input and SPDIF-In. I tried many versions of VoodooHDA from insanelymac forum, and from kexts.com. Also tried ALC888_6pin with ALCinjectos - causes panic. Tried many versions of AppleHDA with and without HDAEnabler (some versions of AppleHDA from kexts.com have integrated enabler if i read corret...). With one of VoodooHDA versions (found on kexts.com) i was working Stereo (Got "Line Out / Line Out / Line Out / Line Out" label), but after reboot i again see Digital Outs. Tell me what you need more to help... I would appreciated if someone can help me. I'm musician so I just need sound... Thanks in advance for help! I tried to patch nodes with some "random" values and i got 1 input, and 1 output (from Center/LFE output). Problem is: port recongnition is good... codecdump from VoodooHDA shows it ok as in Realtek doc. Patching Info.plist with correct values changes nothing. Now i tried to set IOPrimaryMatch, but this doesn't works. Still see only Digital-Out from graphics. And i don't need HDMI now. EDIT$ Also i tried to disable HDMI with this post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=220707# Seems that HDMI outputs conflicts with ALC888... but it would be great to have 1920x1080 _and_ analog sound from ALC888. It's possible to blacklist HDMI on VoodooHDA? I tried http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=220707 but it doesn't works With first, i got working stereo "Line Out / Line Out / Line Out / Line Out" (with popping sometimes...), but after reboot it again doesn't works. BTW it can be good to have 5.1... *** Popping fixed: just changed Format to 48kHz and 16bit... but still i must reload this kext to get audio. I don't know why, but while booting HDMI is enabled, but when i do: kextunload and kextload then i get stereo. Strange.
