I am trying to install on Asus P5Q PRO with instructions from http://blog.nawcom.com/?p=8

I downloaded vanilla 10.6.3 dmg, converted to iso and copied to my USB pendrive as described in nawcom's article, all steps were made with no problems. But when I try to boot that - I get the follwing error at once:

Error parsing plist file

reading ramdisk image: bt(0,0)/Extra/Preboot.dmg
unmounting: done
Ramdisk contains no partitions. Error parsing plist file
Memory allocation error! Addr=0x0, Size=0x18100010, File=graphics.c, Line=526
This is a non recoverable error! System HALTED!!!

No BIOS settings seem to affect the error. Tried playing with AHCI, with USB EHCI, but that didnt help. BIOS version is 2102, latest version from asus site.

Hello, use iAtkos S3 distr. for that kind of motherboard, it's just perfect.

If you prefer Vanilla install anyway:

If the ramdisk doesn't load it is a path definition issue in your USB Key com.apple.boot.plist.

You have to edit the preboot.dmg (open the dmg as an image, copy content in a new preboot folder, edit the com.apple.boot.plist, open Disk utility, file/new/image from folder, choose hybrid image, make a new preboot.dmg, replace).

The line in com.apple... looks like that:

<string>rd(0,0)/Extra/mach_kernel</string>

or

<string>mach_kernel</string>

Hope this help.
