fastrobert Posted April 16, 2011 Share Posted April 16, 2011 Hi all, First thanks for this forum, it helped me a lot to get my Osx working great, without asking anything, but simply by reading Instructions.(Im a newb) But this time I cant do anything else than asking question since I didnt find solutions (some I could undesrtand). I Cant boot my SnowLeopard after moved kext from Extra/Extension folder. I was searching a solution for my Sleep issue and decided to test some stupid move I have no idea what to do now! I have a apple message box: reboot your computer .... + text on screen like bios txt Tried to boot with [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] cd and Apple DVD but dont know what to do then. Thx for you help After some new Read, I booted verbose and saw I'm missing EvoReboot (I moved it on my desktop ) Question: How can I replace it without booting Os!? J.B Posted April 17, 2011 Share Posted April 17, 2011 you could boot into e.g. a linux live disc and manually move the kexts into the appropriate folder, delete the mkext, and boot with -f similarly to answer the orginial question you could booting into a livecd or possibly the install cd (not sure) and use the terminal to replace/delete the kext and rebuild the cache (you would need to know the right commands though if you use the OSX install disc) Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/254972-plz-help-cant-boot-after-moved-kext-from-extra-extension-folder/#findComment-1671454 Share on other sites More sharing options...
