shaanbhaya Posted April 16, 2011 Share Posted April 16, 2011 hey all....i have full working except for one thing...my resolution is at 834*636(or something like that)....i want 1024*786....it shows these resolution bt i cant change it as when i change it it goes to a blue screen..though its still working and i can play music .....by pressing shortcut key on my keyboard...i used efi string,chamelion rc5 with graphic enabler=yes pciboot=1 ..both switched on the graphic accelration bt i cant change the resolution...i suspect that is because its stuck at 75hz..wheras i only get a 60hz refresh rate from my monitor....so plz help me....i have used snow leopard by hazerd 10.6.2....... Dellmantt Posted April 18, 2011 Share Posted April 18, 2011 What brand of 8400GS is it? Not a Galaxy by any chance? If I use the Chameleon injection I get a blue screen on resolution change or rotation. Using NVEnabler 64.kext everything is fine. Not sure on 10.6.2 but 10.6.4-10.6.7 strings are not necessary, although I did have to add the Device ID to the NVDANV50Hal.kext with the Galaxy card. Usually only one injection method is used, but hey it works for you. You could have done it without re-installing. And installing a "Distro" is definitely not the best way to solve a hardware problem.
