Need help

Really hoep this is the right section as my brain is fryed

 

i have a perfectly stable system running the latest version of SL

everything i could wish for using my 17 940 and asus rampage extreme 2 with 4 gigs of ram or so i thought

 

Looked at system specs and saw only 2 gigs was being seen. Shut down the Hackintosh and sure enough during the build i had moved the ram module.

Replaced them properly and procedded to reboot now no mater what i do with anything more than 2 gigs in the rig i get stuck at IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 88:111 and it wont go passed if i let it boot normally it just sits at the grey apple screen.

 

I know all the ram modules work and the rig with just 2 gigs in runs fine as i am typing from it now.

 

Please please please can sombody help me :(:(

 

I have tryed

-x

-v

cpus=4

cpus=4 -v -x

 

all the above in a mixture of combinations but nothing allwaqys hangs at that same line

nivida gtx 260s x 2 (only 1 gets seen but im not botherd)

intel i7 940

 

this is not DUAL boot machine it has 1 hdd with SL installed to it on the system and i have tryed that in all the sata ports but nothing changes.

 

have googled the problem but that only gave me the options i said about above.

 

wits end now ect ect i need the extra ram for screen recording as without it system just hangs if i try to do to much

and i used an auto patcher for the DSDT as i cant find a standard 1 for my board this is all new to me so please be kind

 

 

Ok i feel like an idot the place i come to for help is the 1 place i didnt check for a dsdt file http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=249759 guess what found it installed and bingo all mem now seen

 

so sorry for the waste of thread space
