davidm71
Hi, I just assembled a Foxconn netbox consisting of D525 1.8 ghz dual core atom and intel gpu. I tried using the netbook boot installer 8.4rc and pre8.5 with snow leopard dvd image restored using diskutility on a usb key and could not get past the installation. The usb key would boot into the osx installer but after a 30 minute installation routine it said failure and rebooted to a blinking cursor... So I tried to install the dvd directly onto an external hard drive using osinstall.mpkg and then running netbookmaker installer on that installation. This time my netbox erred with 'unsupported chipset' and use arch i386 (which i did but) still failed with kernal panic. I also tried using the iportablesnow imaged upon a usb flash key and that one said 'expected two cores'... So if anyone has successfully managed to get leopard working on this particular chipset please detail how you did it.. thank you.
