Donk
Interesting leak on vSphere and ESXi 5.0 here: http://searchservervirtualization.techtarg...-details-leaked http://www.hakanuzuner.com/index.php/whats...sphere-5-0.html Important bit: Apple Mac OS X Server guest operating system support. VMware vSphere 5.0 adds support for the Apple Mac OS X Server 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”) as a guest operating system. Support is restricted to Apple Xserve model Xserve3,1 systems. For additional information, see the vSphere 5.0 RC Release notes. Despite the restricted support note this will bring up the possibility of a proper unlocker as we have for Workstation, Player and Fusion. Donk, I had seen this also, but was keeping it under my hat for non disclosure reasons, but this info appears to be in the public domain now, so a very interesting development, cannot wait to get hold of a copy of vSphere 5! Donk
Donk, I had seen this also, but was keeping it under my hat for non disclosure reasons, but this info appears to be in the public domain now, so a very interesting development, cannot wait to get hold of a copy of vSphere 5! Not under NDA on this one and haven't actually tried it. If the code looks like Workstation 7.1 rather than 6.5 as it currently does I can see how to patch. Also I have seen where the SMC keys are picked up from in ESXi 4 which I think already has some support, but adding a new device driver to ESXi is way beyond my capabilities. Anyway time will tell.
