MACPC USER
First I wanna thank all contributors in this forum, especially those who didn't gave up for the mobility cards under osx86 I have a mobility HD 4650 on HP pavilion DV6 1440ek laptop, I followed all the topics since months, and until the solutions are for geeks and advanced users, please help us by contributing in this topic and why not writing a step by step guide for users who are not familiar with terminal and development tools. we will be thankful Until now, I extracted the ROM file of my card with VBIOS tool. I tried to get connectors info with radeodump but I get and empty "connector.txt" file. please help for that point so I can continue . But the best thing is that someone write for us a simplified guide this will be helpful for many users here We're waiting and thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/253877-simpflied-guide-for-enabling-qeci-on-radeon-mobility-4650-or-others/ Share on other sites

smartie77
count me in. I have no idea what the hex-editing stuff is, where to start or how to do this. I get the part that we need our captured vbios, a custom booter with our dev ids in and this involves recompiling trunk chameleon in xcode, that far I could do it. But that ATiframebuffer hexediting is way too much for me. I need QE/CI with a max resolution of 1366 x 768 on my internally LVDS 15,4 inch display. CARD is 9480 1002, M96 - HD4650mobility with 1024 MB vram, ATOMBIOS ( toshiba phoenix bios ). RadeonHD works with this resolution in 2d-mode , but osx without 3d is a pain . MugenFox
Well I just had huge struggles with the regular 4650 so I can make a guide for that but not for the mobility because I don't have one.
