Gringo Vermelho
The drivers you have downloaded are for old PowerPC Macs (G4/G5 etc) and will not work on your Hackintosh. There are no Intel Macs with PCI slots, therefore nobody *officially* releases Intel architecture drivers for PCI expansion cards. Intel Mac Pro's have PCI-Express slots, which is not the same thing. This dude wrote a set of very nice sound card drivers specifically for Hackintosh use: http://www.audio-evolution.com/drivers/ I had the opportunity to test them with an M-Audio Delta 2496 PCI card in Snow Leopard, the drivers work well. But there is no driver available for the Echo MIA MIDI, your best bet is a Firewire or USB sound card. I tried you driver envy but they doesn't work with echo mia midi I'm going to buy a new card but for being honest, i'm poor and it's really expensive for somebody like me !!! Cheers anyway Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/253790-pci-slot-in-snow-leopard/#findComment-1664855 Share on other sites

Cheers anyway I use a Gigabyte P55 UD3L board with PCI slot, and I run Snow Leopard on it, and I have a Motu PCI424 and UAD 1 legacy PCI cards working great ! I think as long as you get Universal Binary drivers you should be good to go. But apparently there is no sign of your drivers being intel compatible. One of my point about going the hackintosh route, was that I had 2 PCI cards that I couldn't use on current Mac pros, which meant upgrading to an Intel Mac meant upgrading my cards as well. I made sure that my cards would work before building my machine, but luckily UAD and MOTU offer regular updates for their cards. Maybe you could try to get a second hand Motu 2408 with 424PCI card for a good price, it works rock solid (how long will it be supported?). But I must say that if I had to invest in new converters I would go firewire, or even usb3(as it might more largely supported).
