Hey there,

I'm currently running 10.5.7, installed with iPC DVD, on my Compaq 615.

After some research i finally got everything working fine (Graphics, Audio, Wlan, Touchpad etc.) but now i got just one little problem left.

Everytime i close the lid of the notebook and open it again, I just see a weird "scrumbled" screen.

It would be perfect If the computer would just go in sleep mode when closing and starting up when opening again.

Using the ATI framebuffer for the internal HD3200.

Please help me im so close to a smoothly running OS X wich we all desire! :P

thx

Hey, didnt want to open a new thread for this: Today I updated from Voodoo 9.5.0 to Qoopz 9.8.0 Voodoo kernel, in order to do a system update to 10.5.8.

This all worked like a charm, but of course after this i hat to fix some drivers again.

I got all working except the WLAN driver:

When I installed OS X from the iPC Installation DVD I simply chose Broadcom driver and everthing worked fine.

Now, of course, I'm not sure wich kext was installed, and cant get WLAN working.

I think its a broadcom b4312 chipset.

PLEASE help me, could live with the Notebook lid problem, but having no WLAN is toooo much!

PS: Problem when closing Notebook also still unsolved :)

So longe ;)

Managed full update to 10.5.8 plus all other updated, and all (?) drivers working, at least I did'nt find any driver not working.

Now please please help me solve the small issues left:

- can't access keyboard and mouse and sound settings in system settings panel

- can't see battery status or power supply status

- When I close the Notebook and open it again, still the screen doesn't work

Hi 477h,

could you provide the full specs of your 615. There exist a couple of different 615 so the more details you can reveal the better the changes are for getting the problems solved. :)
