terramir
Okies got 3 1tb 7k1000c's in softraid usually quite nice quite quick, however it failed to boot the otherday, slapped a usb clone I had and well I booted both diskutility and smartstatus seems to be verified, however one hard drisk seems to have major issues, now I'm in the process of backing up as much as I can, but it seems like sometimes the speed is just fine and then other times it seems to get stuck. I was wondering if an improper shutdown fried the alignment of the partition table (guid) and screwed me over. since it's only one HD (I got 95gb partitions at the end of each drive for swapping files between OS'es and only on one of those partitions seems to be effected by the inter-mittant slowdown, What you guys think I should do, just wipe and test and then rebuild or could it be a hardware issue? and should I try to rma the drive and deal with a 2 drive raid until I get the replacement or do you think it could be a guid table issue due to an improper shutdown and should I try to check it with gdisk in ubuntu to check if the partition table differs from the other two? help terramir Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/253687-soft-raid-problem-i-dunno-if-hard-disk-or-softraid-issue-here/ Share on other sites
