I have read much topics but don't have found a solution; please help me! thanks.

@FreeStart

I'm trying to install Snow Leopard on Emachines 510.

I use ##### legacy

Remove ##### Legacy DVd

Then insert Mac Os Install DVD(approx 8GB iso I burned to a dual layer DVD)

Pressed F5 and enter

Goes to Gray apple logo screen with spinning wheel.

Goes past that and a multi clour screen that changes colour slowly appears......

That's as far as I get.

Any tips on what you've used or what I should do different??

Any help would be awesome!

This is because OSX can't set the right resolution for the display, and is sending bad info.

This page discusses this phenomenon with possible fixes.

You may find that an external monitor works fine - but will only show one side of the screen, so you won't be able to do much unless you can guess the locations of Apps/System Prefs/Displays/Correct Resolution
