Gringo Vermelho
Try hackboot, nawcom's boot CD or whatever else is out there. Use a CD-RW when experimenting with boot CDs. When troubleshooting, always boot with -v so you can see what's going on. Please understand that a "silver apple on the screen" is not useful for diagnostic purposes. People with working systems see an apple on their screen as well. thinkman
So I tried option -v in ##### and it looks so: the acpi tables cannot be found then the screen turns into black Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/253558-installation-freezing-at-the-apple-logo/#findComment-1662775 Share on other sites
Gringo Vermelho
acpi tables cannot be found That's not an error message, the Chameleon boot loader looks for these files in /Extra and loads them automatically if they are there - but a boot CD will never contain ACPI table dumps as they are unique for each system and that's why you're seeing that message. If needed, you'll dump your ACPI tables and place them in /Extra yourself, once you're done installing. As I said, try other boot CDs. Gringo Vermelho
It would be helpful to other Lenovo X201 users if you could post which boot CD worked for you.
