silliconevil Posted March 28, 2011 Share Posted March 28, 2011 Hi guys! I can't boot from HDD. Screen turns black (grafix off) and the fans run at maximum speed. Booting with Empire EFI doesn't cause Problems... Can anyone help? Thanks a lot. Here's what I have and what i did: GA-H55M-USB3 (f10), Quad Core i5-760@2.8GHz, XFX(ati) HD6850, 4GB Ram installed. Install via Empire Efi/OSX 10.6 RETAIL DVD. Than updated 10.6.7 Combo Update, before reboot ran [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] 3.4. Gfx recognized as "ATI HD NI40", Ethernet and Onboard Audio are recognized in system profiler, but audio doesn't work/is not adjustable in system prefs... silliconevil Posted April 24, 2011 Author Share Posted April 24, 2011 yeah. i finally got it running. dont know what i did wrong first time, but the following guide did it for me: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-instal...ut-using-a-mac/ I did everythin exactly like explained, EXCEPT: - NO grafik kext installed in [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] - MANUALLY installed HD67XX kext from kext.com (before reboot) - ran kext utility - changed Grafics Enabler to "No" in com.apple.boot.plist I have to say that I did not install ethernet yet, because I want to try my Wlan USB Stick first... Only thing I wonder about: OSX does not detect my Sounddevice (simple speaker in audio out at the back) in system preferences... So I have to use my USB Headset. ROSO Posted April 24, 2011 Share Posted April 24, 2011 ifix the sound icange hdmi to hdmi cable to dvi to hdmi and turn on in bios audio enable and no ihave sound form my on bord card and not from hd6850 this is the only way work for me if you can fix the sound from hdmi to hdmi pliz iwont to know how!! I could not get sound from hd6850 from hdmi to hdmi but when Connect dvi to hdmi it does not transfer sound from hd6850 it desable hdmi sound ,So at this point sound card built-in need to be enable in bios and connect the cable from the card sound to a screen then you will have a voice but not from hd6850 and thes the only solution I found right now, if you Be able to fix that please tell me, and ihave hd6850 sapphire WHAT CARD YOU HAVE ?
