Devout
HI!I'm trying to install a mac on my pc! but i don't know the kext and the version of hackintosh is the best for me. My Hardware is on my sign! Thank you very much! The best thing to do at this stage, is using your own researching skills to find out what you need to install Hackintosh. Just use the forum search feature, to search for components of your hardware, and you'll eventually, get the jist of what to do. No one knows your computer, better than you do, and there are thousands of different combinations (millions) for different computers, so you're going to have to rely on testing, multiple installation methods and making your own analysis. I'd suggest you'd just use a retail, but you're probably going to use a distro. Devout
I have retail CD but I don't understand how to do without have a hackintosh on my Hard Disk installed. You're going to need a pre-existing hackintosh/virtual machine running hackintosh or a MAC. If you don't have any of those, then you're going to run into problems. I'd suggest just use a distro, even if you have a retail CD, it's going to save you a bunch of headaches you'll probably receive. but looking at your current standing I'd opt to running a virtual machine running hackintosh, and this will require patience and time: http://www.taranfx.com/install-snow-leopard-virtualbox I can't help you with that, since I didn't choose that option. Sorry But it's a great guide, and looks easy to follow! Goodluck! If you need a distro: iatkos s3 vX (I'm not sure what the latest version is, so type in google "iAtkos S3") I think it's either 1 or 2, I'm not sure. mulcyber
I have retail CD but I don't understand how to do without have a hackintosh on my Hard Disk installed. If you already have a retail cd, then what you need is a boot cd that prepares the environment so that the retail disk can be inserted -> F5 (after the boot disk is removed) and the install completed. http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ibo...ac-os-x-on.html There are several ways of installing Hackintosh, none are frequent enough to be the majority over 50%. This way needs the shortest time to get started since you have a retail disk and is very popular. ##### is not a large download and a distro is usally a few GBs. After the SL install is complete, you need to set up device drivers called kexts, specific to what you have installed, like your audio codec, your graphics card, your ethernet device, etc. ##### that follows the ##### -> SL install method, allows you to install the drivers. But you need to have a good idea of what you have in order to make the right choices. Hackintosh SL is finicky about what hardware it is compatible with. So if you can find a good guide that was made for your model computer and motherboard, it will tell you what choices to make for your hardware, especially if your motherboard has the same revision and bios version as the guide uses. This matters if you try to borrow their supplied dsdt.aml. So I think your first priority, rather than using this distro or that or a retail disk, is to find a guide or tutorial with details that are specific to your motherboard. The guide will also tell you what basic install method was used to begin with, so that is the one you should use, the most detailed. After a brief search on Google, I didn't find a guide for asrock g41c. If you decide to go with the #####, ##### and retail disk method, my first try would be with the legacy ##### cd download. If you choose iAtkos S3 v2, see how much detailed post-install documentation it comes with. Either way, a working install doesn't look likely. There are now a few different boot cds that making using the retail disk possible.
