I am not sure what model it is, though, this is the information from Alsa Mixer Card: HDA ATI SB (I assume this is the ATI HDMI audio/video output) Chip: IDT 92HD75B2X5 (And I assume this is the speaker and headphone port) I would appreciate any help, and I don't really need the HDMI audio. Just the speaker and headphone ports. Also, just to get everything on my laptop working, I would like to get my modem working as well. I don't really absolutely need it working, so don't worry about this if you can't find anything. The modem is an Agere Systems HDA modem. The tag on the inside of the laptop does not make it clear what model, but there are a few letters and numbers, D40 and AM5. I don't think these are both one product number because of the significant amount of spacing between the two. (About three times one normal space) Any help would be greatly appreciated. The sound its working but i get to much kernel panics. In System Profile the audio looks strange like this: In System Preferences --> Sound like this: How can i get rid of that kernel panic???
