Laptop spec:

Lenovo Y460P

Cpu: i7 2630 QM

Sound: Some ATI Redwood HD Audio

Wireless: Some Atheros

LAN: Some Broadcom

VGA: ATI 5650

Sorry for the incomplete information

Thing is, I install SL 10.6.3 via iATKOS S3 V2 with default selections plus

Legacy logo

All SATA/IDE kexts

Voodoo PS2

PCJ kernel

NTFS

ATI Enabler

'busratio=20 cpus=8' boot option

Wireless and bluetooth some how works without a kext

No sound (tried both AppleHDA and VoodooHDA)

Trackpad also works

Well, I'm not satisfied. I wanna latest version :P

One night I messed around and managed to successfully updated it to 10.6.6

I can't remember what options I selected when I installed the OSX, but somehow I messed things up with kexts trying to get audio and battery working

So I just reinstalled it and from then, every time I update it from 10.6.3 to 10.6.6 with the combo update, ##### to restore IOUSB stuff and reboot, the system would boot to the point that everything is initialized (MacFuse up, wireless up, etc) and it just hang there. No panic, nothing. It just won't boot up the desktop. -f -x -v -s, none of these helps

Can somebody point me out what is going on here? I mean, I once got it to 10.6.6 but then I can't get it there any more, and there isn't a panic

Sorry, no screenshot

Thanks in advance

Off topic: Can someone suggest me an audio kext to use? VoodooHDA, AppleHDA won't work
