I could install one of the first OSX releases without a problem (pop in the DVD, install, be happy...) and everything worked pretty fine (besides wlan obviously)

The only things I've done is upgrading my HDD (80 > 100 GB) and updating my BIOS

Now the 10.4.7 Jas DVD doesn't boot without an external monitor (results in bluescreen... known problem as far as i read) and even WITH an external monitor it seems to freeze at the "white backgroud, apple, spining circle thingy" stage. the strange thing is, that upon pressing any key, the DVD Drive spins up and does seem to do something... so maybe it's only a problem with graphics? Afair, VESA sucks using Linux too on the GMA900

Any ideas what the problem could be?
