      Forum Rules   04/13/2018

Hello folks! As some things are being fixed, we'll keep you updated. Per hour the Forum Rules don't have a dedicated "Tab", so here is the place that we have our Rules back. New Users Lounge > [READ] - InsanelyMac Forum Rules - The InsanelyMac Staff Team.

A challenge for skilled programmers here (I'm sure there are many)

I highly doubt osx will allow you to read the specific memory address from another program. Think virus.

I'm not saying it is impossible, but it isn't as easy as it sounds. Most likely it would be easier to disassemble the program with access to that memory address, inject your own asm code into it using a simple jump statement, and then have the program alter the pid directly, instead of an external app doing this. The concept is similar to writing a no cd crack.
