Only one burner works

Last night I just successfully built my first Hackintosh :(. I'm using an ECS 945G-M3, Pentium D 945, 2GB Corsair DDR2 RAM, a Radeon X1600PRO, and a 320GB SATA HDD. I also have an LG CD Burner and a NEC DVD Burner. When my IDE cable is connected to both of the burners, OSX 10.4.6 only recognizes the first one, the LG. When I unplug power, and the IDE cable from the LG and only have the NEC burner plugged in, OSX will recognize it. Does anyone know how OSX will recognize both burners at the same time? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
