cinemalone
Hey, thanks for taking a peep at my minor crisis.I've torn some hair out so, I hope you can help me out before I go bald. So, I updated my BIOS in preparatiion for overclocking, but now I get to Chameleon's boot interface, choose my normal partition with Snow Leopard, make it to the grey screen with Apple's logo, and then a grey "cancel" sign with a slash through it appears and it never loads. I read that sign suggests a bootloader issue. Do I need to reinstall Snow Leopard on that partition? And will it clear my data if I do that? Think specs are in my signature, but it's been awhile so: Snow Leopard running i7 930 2.8ghz Gigabyte ex58-ud5 mobo 12 gb corsair dominator ddr3 1600mhz ram GTS250 Originally loaded with Kakewalk Thanks! It might be that updating your bios means that you need to regenerate your DSDT.aml if you have one. Did your original install method use a boot cd? It seems like that approach would let you try reinstalling Chameleon. Finally, when first booting up, my computer can boot into an OS by tapping the F12 key; that might work for you or maybe a different F-key#. These are ideas to think about, not sure of F12.
