Dr. Hurt
well, the easiest and cheapest way is to get these small usb audio cards off ebay. they ship from hong kong within a week. these work fine (putting price in consideration) with audio out and in. gthlm
I bought one like this ages ago for my G4 and it works perfectly under x86 using the USB Soundblaster drivers on the JaS 10.4.6 install DVD. It's also plug&play under osx ppc, and they don't come any cheaper! It has a cmedia chipset. Like i have ALC882 and am forced to run it in stereo with no input so i am willing to splurg a bit for something nice, not too much, but something worth the price. gthlm
I haven't tried one myself but other threads on this forum have been declaring good results with pci cards based on the c-media 8783 chipset like this one. And really cheap too... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25224-cheapest-way-to-get-sound/#findComment-170778 Share on other sites
