unstatusthequo
I know ATI sells an ATI DVI-out to Component Video converter. Does anyone know if this will work, and if so, has anyone tried it and can comment about the picture quality? I'm trying to determine if I will be able to use Front Row to output DVD or video to my big screen TV via component video cables. Thanks in advance. DavidTX
Since the Macbook Pro's use ATI Radeon hardware, the adapter might just work. It's only $29. http://www.svideo.com/hdtvaiwr8500.html Does your HDTV have a HDMI connection? If so, you can buy a DVI to HDMI cable. I use one at home to play WoW and it's a lot of fun. I used this on my Media Center PC to output to a 57" Sony HDTV. It worked fairly well, although given a TV's low resolution any text work is next to useless. Web browsing is also a bit tough just because of font issues. All in all it worked well.
