RCOO
Hello everyone. I came to you with a big problem that is upsetting me. I've installed via iAtkos S3 V2, Mac OS X 10.6.3. I have a Linksys Compact Wireless G USB adapter WUSB54GC, I'm using the 3.9.6 version of IOUSBFamily.kext that comes pre-installed in system/library/extensions, by iAtkos. I'm using 2 drivers for the wireless dongle. One for it to work (RT73USBWireless.kext), and another to avoid replug on every reboot (RT2500Replug.kext) and another kext appeared, which I didn't install (RT2500USBWirelessDriver.kext). It all works well, except the usb sticks transfer speeds are very very limited (I'd guess USB 1.0). Then I upgraded to 10.6.6. I replaced the new iousbfamily.kext by the old one, so mouse and keyboard wouldn't freeze. Everything continues working but USB transfer speeds are very low. I then installed a 3.8.5 IOUSBFamily.kext, maintaining all other drivers. The thing is. I got the USB transfer speeds to become normal, however, the Wireless Dongle has some incompatibility issues. It works, but if I plug in a USB stick, I loose Internet connection, because the dongle stops getting detected. If i unplug the USB stick, and replug USB Dongle, it all comes back to normal... It's kinda upsetting since I won't be able to use my wireless with a usb stick. Also, this doesn't happen with all the USB sticks. For example, my external HDD doesn't affec the Wireless Dongle. So doesn't my 4GB Cruzer USB Stick. But my iPod, my cell phone USB Storage, my 1GB Usb stick, everytime I plug them in, I loose the internet connection. My computer: - Intel Core 2 Duo - 3.2 GHz; - Asus P5GZ-MX mobo - Intel GMA 950 (works using the Intel GMA 950 Dekstop fix on DSDT); - 2 GB Ram; - I have 4 USB ports: one is ocuppied by the Wireless Dongle. Another by USB columns. Another with a USB Mouse. And another empty for several USB Sticks plugin. I don't know if the DSDT actually matters. But, I'm uploading the drivers for the dongles, both versions of the IOUSBFamily kext, the one with slow speed and current wireless and the one with fast speed and wireless problems. I'll also upload the DSDT.aml I'm using and the system report. Data.zip If someone can help, thanks.
