Stefan2110
Hello people, I've been trying to install MAC OS X on my PC without much success so far. My system is: Asus Formula iv 890 FX / SB 850 AMD Phenom 1090T Sparkle Calibre X265 | GTX 260 4 GB DDR3 RAM SATA mode AHCI and BIOS settings on system default so I tried making some BootCDs but I never really managed to make a successful one so I tried with a USB drive too. On my macbook I install Chameleon and restore the Mac OS X 10.6.3 to the drive and everything is successful. Then I do as stated in this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=227592 and change the necessary files and add kexts etc.. When I boot with Chameleon 2 RC4 I can start the installer but after it loads (you know after the mac screen with the spinning circle) I get a black screen, so after lots of searching I found out that my grafix may not be supported by Chameleon 2 RC4 . So I go get the rc5 and the new kernels and stuff provided in here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=227592 I boot with Chameleon rc5 everything looks normal and I get Kernel Panic on loading screen of the Mac OS X installer saying this : http://img534.imageshack.us/i/snc00117g.jpg/ [image also available here : ] I've tried installing Chameleon on the drive using different options but this doesn't seem to change anything.. And I've also tried -f -x -v and -s before booting and still no luck. I would really appreciate any suggestion at this point but please keep in mind Its my first attempt on installing mackintosh to any system so.. Complicated things might need some extra explanation with me Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance, Stefan (Oooh and I'm also running 10.7 Lion on my macbook which look slick !! They have some issues like lagging and crushing sometimes but its still a pre-releashed version so.. I don't get mad at it ) Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/250408-need-help-installing-mac-os-x-on-pc/ Share on other sites
InsideMac
Try changing your BIOS settings looks like a problem with ACPI try changing ACPI mode The outlook doesn't look too good because its not just one driver thats not working or something like that. Also you're running on AMD and it's usually harder to get OS X running on AMD than it is Intel. I built myself a Intel 775 system they're cheap and do the job Good Luck! Thanks for the reply mate, I know its harder to get Mac OS on AMD systems but I am willing to put some effort in it, at least for the moment I am gonna try changing ACPI mode like you suggest and report back. I've tried changing ACPI but I didn't notice any difference, BUT when I set suspend mode to S3 only I get this : Is it any better? Does it show progress?
