bubbahotep Posted March 4, 2011 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Hi, getting my hands wet with osx. from reading about the DSDT file I understood that you have to tell OSX to use the DSDT. so with [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] running in [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url], a DSDT will not be used by osx. is that correct? so if i extracted a DSDT, is it enough to copy the .aml to extras or do I need to tell OSX explicitly to use the DSDT. does DSDT SE install take care of installing the dsdt into the boot process ? or do i need to run [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] with the DSDT option enabled ? How can i verify if my DSDT is actually used during boot ? Extract DSDT in OS X. If you get your modified DSDT, then it's loaded.
