ARC123
Hello all, im Anthony I'm a little ticked-off that I haven't been able conquer this one alone. I have put in too many hours research and testing so is now time to throw in the towel and ask for help. I hope you good people can help me with this. First off, my system: Asus P6TD Deluxe V1 (BIOS Version 0510) Intel Core i7 920, 2.66Ghz (Corsair H50 cooler) 6GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600Mhz Sapphire 1GB HD 5770 Vapor-X A LightScribe DVD+DL burner NZXT Sentry fan control panel Corsair Silent Pro 850W PSU WD Lifebook 1TB External (Storage only) (Disconnected for installion process) Samsung F3 1TB (Windows7 64bit) (Disconnected for installion process) WD Caviar 150GB (Which I want to install Snow Leopard on but am currently unable) Ok, so after trying loads of online sources to figure out how hackintosh is done, I stumble upon this 'superior' site and discovered dgobe's post (thanks by the way!)...... Asus P6T Deluxe V1 & V2 boot-132 Install Method - No Mac Required! The 'perfect' guide for me as I do not have access to a Mac. I have followed the guide carefully but still having the problem of being unable to install Snow Leopard OS from the bootloader. It simply hangs or restarts EVERY time. What I have done / used so far from this site.... adjusted my BIOS mirroring dgobe's instructions downloaded and burnt: AsusP6TDeluxeV2_boot_132v1.15.7z.zip connect 'only' the blank NTFS formatted WDC 150GB HDD before installation tried all the boot controls: -x / GraphicsEnabler=n (and '=Yes') GraphicsEnabler=n arch=i386 PLUS many different variations of these and other suggestions from other sites but still nothing. It is my understanding that you format the HDD during the SL install and don't need to do any special format before hand. Is this correct? Having done further reaseach, it seems another likely problem i may be having is with my HD 5770 graphics card. I saw a reference somewhere about including 'ATI Experimental' to a bootloader, or something like that, unfortunately I have no idea about building a bootdisk if that is required. I have also heard a few mentions of Kexts but too n00b at this to understand the manipulation of these. Please help me understand.... my head hurts! Any help is greatly appreciated! ChildOfInsanity
You could always try installing iAtkos S3, that could get you into a working SL system, of course not perfectly working...GPU and other things won`t work yet. They you can use ##### to install additional bootloaders, drivers etc. Search the forum for your motherboard and GPU for guides how to get it working. InsideMac
Try booting with ##### I highly recommend this! then install ##### afterwards http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ibo...ac-os-x-on.html Otherwise just use a distro such as iAtkos S3 or Hazard's Distro Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/250215-hackintosh-n00b-needs-helpplease-p6td-deluxe-v1-hd-5770/#findComment-1649844 Share on other sites
