iMac 20" G5 1.8Ghz No Backlight on Intstall?!?

I tried to install leopard and to see how the Install DVD would act I booted with the 'C' key down. Well it goes through the motions for awhile with the spinning wheel then all of a sudden total black screen. I think well maybe its loading the right drivers, I come back 15 min later and can see the install screen! Yet, with no backlight.... I tried pressing the F14-F15 to increase brightness there but to no sucess... Any ideas?

I know this is all brand new but ahh it sucks! LOL

P.S. This is very ironic cause my LG PM-325 phone's backlight is dead... Curses! :D
