kumo99
I'm trying to dual boot mac with xp in my latitude D610..I made a second partition "Primary", and followed the tutorial here but the installing process hangs for 2 hours and gives the error like: "...can't verify the install cd content.." I tried again and it shows the same error. I tried with ideneb v10.5.8 lite and the same error! in both cases I formatted the mac partition as extended (journaled), any idea? dothacker
did you burn the dvd's as slow as possible? it's a media problem (process of burning the DVD and/or what brand your DVD-R you used...). also, could be a drive problem too... maybe you should make a bootable USB and do it from there... it's faster anyways. Dellmantt
Read/Write problem. Clean your DVD drive (the laser) either by hand, carefully or get a DVD cleaning disc. Burn DVD at lowest possible speed. Change burn media used. Alternatively, restore iso to usb drive if possible. An ex-work colleague installed IPC 10.5.6 final on a D610 and installed Snow Leopard using the alternative myhack method. EDIT What dothacker said. His post had not been approved when I posted this.
