Hi folks,

Im pretty new around here, I've just setup my hackintosh, everything went fairly smoothly other than the graphics card... while I can see the screen "about this mac" shows 32mb VRAM incorrectly.

My graphics card is: nVidia 9600GS however Windows saw this as 9100m

When I added nvenabler through #####, the system wouldnt load

Does anyone have any suggestions? If you need any information please ask.

Thanks in advance

Dan

EDIT: Ok, I have since got the graphic card working by choosing 64bit in #####.. however when I enable this I lose the touchpad and keyboard, even when I add the rollback and ps2 support it still doesnt work.. anyone have any ideas?

What loader do you have?

What OSX do you have?

If you have SnowLeopard try to boot your system with ##### CD.

Hey

Sorry I'm only now replying I've been a bit busy.

I'm using chameleon 2 rc5 with snow leopard 10.6.3 now

I have now got it to recognise a pcie graphics card but it doesn't display the VRAM. Its also showing a pci card with 32mb vram however it seems to be using the one with 32mb vram

EDIT: When I doot with ##### CD it still freezes, GraphicsEnabler=Yes seems to trigger the freeze from what I can see.

Choose, during the installation, "graphicsenabler" from bootloader options, then select nothing under VGA. It will work 100%, with QE/CI enabled.

Hi mate, I have tried changing GraphicsEnabler=YES and GraphicsEnabler=NO by changing the required file in Extras. but the same thing happens, is this what you mean?

Have you tried the NVEnabler.kext for SL?

You run your operating system in 64bit mode? Or 32bit mode?

Hi there mate, thanks for the post. I have used ##### to enable 64bit and it is now seeing the graphics card as it needs to.. the problem I now have is that with this mode enabled I cant get the touchpad and keyboard to work even with the rollback and ps2 kext fixes.. do you or anyone else have any suggestions?

Many Thanks

Dan
