creepyoldguy Posted August 16, 2006 Share Posted August 16, 2006 i can't get any farther in my career without having my own final cut/ pro tools setup, but i don't have $3000 for a macbook pro. i was hoping y'all could advise me on the very best pc notebook to buy in terms of osx86 compatible hardware and for running high intensity apps like final cut HD. i'm trying to stay in the $1500 range. thanks! munky Posted August 16, 2006 Share Posted August 16, 2006 Yeah, for CPU-bound tasks, the MacBook and MacBook Pro are pretty evenly matched. Might be worth looking into... If this is for your career I would not recommend going any other way.
