I have a random idea. What happens when you get the settings how you like them and then go to your User/Library/Preferences, right-click on VoodooHDA.settings (or whatever yours is called) and tick on the "Locked" box. I don't know that this would work for wake-from-sleep but maybe it would do something at boot? Force Voodoo to use your preferred settings? I also don't know if it would impact your ability to raise/lower the volume after that but don't think so...

I couldn't get VoodooHDA 2.7.2 to work on my system ... I'm on 10.5.8 on a GA-G31M-S2L mobo and not sure how I need to modify the file to make it work.

So for VoodooHDA 0.2.61 I finally tried out "voodoohdahelper" and it handles the boot condition...settings persist after boot! But I read on a Google Code thread that someone KP'd their system using something like that so I have no idea if it was this or a fake or what.

For the wake condition, I think I'll have to use something I think I got from this cat Thireus....his site is down I guess? But he was on these boards... I think it was called SleepWatcher...and I think I can make this thing run "voodoohdahelper" when my computer wakes up. That should cover it for me.

You should search around and see if it's safe to run on Snow Leo although I don't see why you couldn't log in with safe mode or single user and delete the file in a pinch.

But for me, putting voodoohdahelper in my Utilities folder and then having it start at login (Accounts pane of System Preferences; you can hide it from there when you feel it it's working) -- that worked for booting... I didn't have to follow any of the other instructions I saw. It just may be tailored to this old voodoohda kext and prefpane I'm using!

... Or if there isn`t any way to save settings in PrefPane... Can you tell me how to add these settings in VoodooHDA info.plist..

Hi bmas.

I am shocked to see 2 different settings enabled at the bottom half of the attached screenshot. Can you share how you got those settings?

The:

Noise reduction and Stereo enhancement slider part.

Even I'm using VoodooHDA v - 2.7.2.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Freaky Chokra :)
