bnitica
Hi, My mb is: ga-m52l-s3 and the proc AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 3600+ I successful installed iATKOS S3 v2. When I am trying to boot to SL from hdd after a while the pc reset itself. I can boot only with the DVD inside and with: rd=disk0s2 -x I hopped that the 10.6.4 legacy kernel will solve the issue (I don't know if this is a stupid thing) so from the safe mode I made the update to 10.6.4 using the combo update and after that I run the legacy pck. The update was done but still can't boot from hdd. I don't know what should I try. Does anybody know what is the issue? Should I try this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php..._post&f=211 or this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=225766 ? Thanks! dothacker
re-install OSX but use Nawcom Mod boot cd + retail Snow Leopard. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/246845-amd-auto-restart/#findComment-1635963 Share on other sites
bnitica
re-install OSX but use Nawcom Mod boot cd + retail Snow Leopard. Pfffu, this will be the 6th DVD that I'll burn. Since it loads with -x with the iATKOS S3 v2 boot CD I am pretty sure that you guys developed something to work with my mb, the issue is I don't know what exactly I need to install/patch. bnitica
Thank you dothacker! It worked! I have 10.6.5 now. I used a guide to make the retail dvd smaller. I have the cmos reset issue but now I am trying to use a kext and I can't get geforce 6200 TC to work.
