doop
hi all! I've been using iAtkos 10.5.8 for a long time without problems, but now i want to try the Hazard Snow Leopard 10.6.6i. My PC: Gigabyte GA-EX38-DS4 Intel Core2Duo E8400 @ 3GHz G.Skill 8GB DDR2 @ 800MHz Gigabyte Geforce 8800 GT with 512 Mb Seagate 1.5 TB HDD (AHCI Mode) I've finished the installation process but after the reboot I can only see a Black Window. Have I chosen the correct options? I think that I have a problem with Graphics Enabler, but I don't know why! Please help!! Thanks a lot!!! Yo can see my install options in the attachment! dothacker
your problem is you chose 2 graphic drivers... U already have Graphics Enabler through chameleon, you dont need to put the NVidia Graphics enabler. You must install EITHER one or the other. Michaelo22
Assume I don't need to start a new post as my problem is similar... Managed to overcome my first issue (the waiting for blah...) changed from SATA DVD to an IDE DVD.... Strangely enough I did not have to do this with 10.6.1 or 10.6.2... Hardware: Motherboard: ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe with 2GB of ram... DVD Sony connected to IDE (0 as master)... Drive: 250 GB SATA... Tried a few installs... It appears to be working but only gets to about 50% of the install process and and nothing... Doesn't hang but doesn't finish the install... hard disk activity stopped... I tried several installs, each appears to get to different stage (judging by the process image)... The best so fat being about 50% but normally it only get to about 10%... If I reboot, I can actually log into the new installation but it's slow and not everything works... Any ideas? nethwka
I dont know if this applies in your case but some motherboards have the tendency to "stop" when the mouse isn't moving for 2-3 minutes. So i know it sounds rediculous but try again to install and know just have your mouse in motion. Michaelo22
That's a distinct possibility as I noticed during a quiet period I moved the mouse and it appeared to have some effect... Thanks, I'll try it UPDATE: That appears to have done the trick... Not wanting to take any chances, I kept it moving during the entire install... In the process of transferring information, will report back when complete... Many thanks for that Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/246488-problems-with-hazard-dvd-1066i-install/#findComment-1638297 Share on other sites
