Aziz Poonawalla Posted January 31, 2011 Share Posted January 31, 2011 Hello, everyone I'm trying to setup a virtualbox install of OSX 10.6.3 on my new build (windows 7, Asus P55 mobo, i560, 8 GB ram) for teaching myself iphone/ipad dev. Most of the install guides are for older versions of virtualbox, and following their advice doesn't work - either I get the "no boot device found" error or the install of Leopard hangs. I've got a retail copy of 10.6.3 and i downloaded an iso of Leopard. I have not yet tried the snowx86 distro because i want the installation to be upgradeable. One thing I noticed is that most of the guides advise to disable the "enable EFI" checkbox in Virtualbox, but doing so guarantees a "no boot device found" error. Enabling it gets me to the hung install. Has anyone posted a step-by-step for Virtualbox 4? Any more detailed guidance for these specific versions woudl be really helpful. I'm basically winging it and am out of my depth. Much appreciated...
