Jedis
Hello, I'm trying to get QE enabled. I used the GraphicsEnabler/Yes boot entry and this did not work for me While I was in that file, I editted my resolution setting so it at least matches the LCD's native resolution. Here is the pertinent information: Mobile Intel QS57 Express Chipset 13.3" WLED Anti-Glare LED Display (1366x768) Intel HD Graphics with dynamic frequency I'm running a vanilla 10.6 Snow Leopard install, but am downloading the update to 10.6.6 right now. Any suggestions on how to get this working, please? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/245917-dsdt-for-latitude-e4310/ Share on other sites
Gringo Vermelho
"Intel® HD Graphics with dynamic frequency" is useless marketing drivel that could mean any of several different devices, some of which will fully work, partially work or not work at all. If you want any help, post the full, real model name of your video card. Jedis
This is what I've found via Dell's website: File Formats: Intel QM57/QS57 NB Gfx - Intel GMA HD Description: Vista/Win7 32-bit Intel GMA HD Integrated Graphics Driver for Latitude E4310, E5410, E5510, E6410, E6510 and Optiplex 980 Is that enough info? Windows 7 just lists Intel HD Graphics from my screenshot I took before wiping the drive. Gringo Vermelho
No. Obviously "Intel GMA HD Integrated Graphics" is no more descriptive than "Intel® HD Graphics with dynamic frequency". Download and install LSPCI: http://uploaded.to/file/b7gy5i Reboot Open a Terminal prompt and enter LSPCI -nn Post the output here. Gringo Vermelho
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Arrandale Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0046] (rev 02) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrandale - CPU with built-in graphics, welcome to the future. There are no drivers for this, it will not work. Apple don't use anything like it - yet. Jedis
Ok, if I can't get QE working, it should at least work with the default settings of detecting a 64mb GPU? Or will the video not work at all if I update from 10.6?
