Success with Shuttle XPC SB61G2 v4.

 

Specs:

 

Shuttle XPC SB61G2 v4

Intel® 865G + ICH5 chipset

Award BIOS V6.0 PG

ALC650 compliant with AC'97 2.2

Realtek 8100C 10/100 ethernet

Corsair XMS 2x512 dual channel ddr2

Quantum ltc/10 fireball (from an Imac no less)

Lite-On generic black DVD drive

MS intellipoint mouse usb

MS Intellitype explorer usb

 

Of course on my first try I went and upgraded Quicktime and totally fried my install, but I am back on a fresh install without an itunes update and Rosetta seems to work fine with Safari and Preview.

 

I have listened to tunes with Itunes, and clicked through all the standard apps with no crashes so far.

 

Hope this helps steer some people tword a hardware config that is good to go.

 

I am working on getting this Quartz Extreme patch applied to see what happens, stay tuned.

Sort of off topic i know but how did you do the install? Have you tried Leopard with this board?
