  1. Lenovo G550

Regarding your item #2 as a programmer you would benefit substantially from going to Systems Preferences, keyboard, modifier keys and remapping your caps lock key to be a ctrl key. If you use the terminal a lot this will make you 300% faster I promise. It takes some time to get used to like Sun Style 3 keyboards but I do this and it's much more productive. As a systems engineer/admin by remapping caps lock (useless key) to CTRL and using screen i am MUCH more efficient. Just my .02
  2. I've got a Dell Mini 10v for sale. It's new in the box (well, it has been opened and OSX has been installed on it) but the machine for all intensive purposes is new. Dell Mini 10v 1gb ram 160gb hdd 10" lcd 1.3mp webcam 802.11 b/g wifi $350 plus shipping. Local pickup is fine in the SF Bay Area, California Paypal is fine This is the best netbook for osx86 hands down. Let me know if anyone has any questions. Would like to get rid of it this week so that I can do some shopping this weekend for the family.
  3. I bought a couple of Broadcom BCM94321MC mini express wifi n cards which work as native 802.11n cards and are detected as genuine airport in desktop machines when you combine with an hwtool adapter. Is it possible to switch out the wifi device one of these so that we can get native airport as well?
  4. [Install] Dell Latitude E6400 E6500

What would be awesome is that whoever is running this machine (e6400) with snow leopard could put together a step by step guide on how to do it (bios settings, kexts, etc) to sort of consolidate the information in this thread into something workable. Right now there is a bunch of info swirling around it is hard to figure out what to follow and so forth.
  5. Howto: G31-M7 TE

I have updated to 10.5.8 and have had no problems at all. I will try a vanilla install of snow leopard at some point and report back on it
  6. Success - Shuttle XPC SB61G2 v4

Sort of off topic i know but how did you do the install? Have you tried Leopard with this board?
  7. Howto: G31-M7 TE

Your guide is awesome. It is one of the best step by steps I have worked with. I have 3 of these machines built now using your guide so thanks. Micro Center sells this board currently for 39 dollars and they are local so its pretty awesome. I was able to get my 9500 GT 512MB PCI Express card to work by just using osx86 tools and adding an EFI string for what its worth ( my HTPC is currently running that card). Have you tried to update to 10.5.8 ? If so, how does that work ? How about Snow Leopard. I am scared to death of updating software on either of these installs. I have my machine, my mothers and my htpc all running this board. I figure it makes updating everyones computer easy if we all have the same hardware. I figure that if I am going to be the one always being the family goto guy for computer stuff it might as well be on my terms haha Thanks again for a great guide.
