I was recently working on my new laptop: HP G42-381tx.

It has an ATI 5470 1GB graphic card.

I was trying to get SL installed unfortunately failed.

Here is my process:

1. Used my old laptop which has SL installed to restore SL Retail to a 8GB USB drive.

2. Run ##### 3.1 with Chemeleon RC5 r700 to the USB drive to make it bootable.

3. Plug into my new laptop, whenever it reached to the Apple Logo Screen, it will restart automatically. I've tried all the possible labels like -x -f -v cpus=1 busratio=25 EHCIacquire=no UHCIreset=no unfortunately no luck still.

PS: I've tried to plug it to my old laptop, it run perfectly and successfully install another fresh SL :)

So does any professional could help me to solve this problem?

i think it is not related to AHCI, perhaps my ATI is not supported? it shown ATI card posted, reading from vbios.... but i tried on GraphicsEnabled=no yet still no luck. i juz wan to install!! y it juz restart non-stop?? tried #####, #####, myhack also same symtom, was either blackscreen or auto restart when apple logo appears.help!
