I just downloaded and tried to install iATKOS, but had problems

The Chameleon came up at the top of the screen.

It starts to boot up and i get the apple logo splash screen, but the progress indicator just keeps spinng around.

I left the pc doing this overnight and when i woke up the pc had shut down and nothing was installed.

Any ideas?

I had same problem.

I had to press F8 in Chameleon. Then i typed in -v-x-f-s cpus=1 busratio=XX

the busratio depends on your processor. google it to find out your number. there are no spaces between the v,x,f,s. hope it helps!

boot with -v and post a screenshot / photo of of the screen.

did you try searching before posting?

oh, and dont forget your specs coz hey... it's in the rules:

i burnt iatkos in a TDK, Memorex, Sony, Verbatim and a Fry's generic dvd-r, dvd+r and dvd+r dl. the trick is burning it AS SLOW AS POSSIBLE. if you can choose 1x, then by God, choose 1x speed.

Thanks dothacker ;)

I am now faced with a new problem. iATKOS boots up and does it's thing - but when it gets to the install stage my hard drive is not visable!! I have tried using a SATA drive and an IDE drive but still the same problem (Although the drive is seen in bios).

After searching the forums I have read that sometimes internal drives aren't recognized but external ones are. Can i install to an external drive and then put the ext drive inside my machine?

Ok, so i booted uo iATKOS and started installation to an external hard drive. all seemed to be going well and after a while i got a kernel panic!!
