JCKun
I am able to install iAtkos s3 v2 with no problems, but if i try to update to 10.6.6 the usb ports seem to be dead, i tried installing #####, but after install and restarting i will get the error "hold on the power... in 5 languages. it seems that the only problem that i have is that the usb ports wont work after the update. i hope someone can help me with that. thanks on advance. marc0hdz
have you tried the ##### IOUSBFamily rollback? it worked for me. i have attached the ##### i used here are the steps i used. starting with 10.6.5 -Download the 10.6.6 update from Apple's website (not the combo) -Backup IOUSBFamily.kext from /System/Library/Extensions to Your desktop. -Install 10.6.6 update it but don't restart yet. -Drag and Drop IOUSBFamily.kext backed up earlier to Kext Utility app, put in your password and let it do it's thing. -Now quit and restart (Note that this are the steps i used. You might need other stuff in order to boot into your snow leopard) -Once booted on the 10.6.6 Snow Leopard open ##### and select ONLY IOUSBFamily Rollback, install and restart -Now they should be working 100% ##### Kext_Utility.zip Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/245465-help-macosx1066/#findComment-1631314 Share on other sites
JCKun
thanks marc0hdz! I cannot even update to 10.6.5 it is the same problem, the upgrade completes, but the keyboard, mouse wont work or any usb/ps2 port. dothacker
update to 10.6.4... before updating to 10.6.5, go to S/L/E and copy IOUSBfamily.kext and IOUSBMassStorage.kext to your desktop. install 10.6.5 update but DO NOT RESTART. Re-install the 2 kext in your desktop back to S/L/E. repair permissions then restart. If you're doing 10.6.6, do the same thing. oh by the way, this has been covered so if you searched, you would've found out about it. dothacker
Yes, update your bios first to the latest one. I will look at the bios on mine and see how it looks like. Tomica
Try flashing your BIOS, then in BIOS options try and disable USB (whatever you have, if you have USB Legacy something, disable it), worked for me! Sorry if anyone else posted that before me, but better to be posted 2 times than no times Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/245465-help-macosx1066/#findComment-1633930 Share on other sites
