dardanro Posted January 24, 2011 Share Posted January 24, 2011 i've been researching doing my first hackintosh for a long time now, i was initialy going to do it on a dell inspiron 1545 but on reflection ive decided to do it on a tower first, problem is as ive found out that the components aren't all guranteed to work and i've tried to find out if they will work but im struggling a little. ive researched as much as i can and think the only thing that's not compatible is my asus dvdrw which is not a sata drive. could somebody who's a little more clued up than me confirm that im right intel ® Core 2 cpu 4400 @2.00Ghz dualcore Maxtor STM3250310AS 250GB SATAII asus motherboard nvidia geforce 8400GS not sure how to find out exactly what memory i have installed? i know these are quite basic but i want to be sure before i take the plunge im planning on installin snow lepard 10.6 what would be the best tutorial for this. The drive itself doesn't matter, what matters is the drive controller that it's plugged into. Drivers are available for nforce, Marvell, JMicron, Intel ICHx and other PATA controllers.
