I want to install Snow Leopard on Toshiba L500, it's i3 computer.

I have tried to install it many times using Leo4all, #####, Empire but I just cant do it.

It installs but I can't get into the OS. It doesn't want to load without a CD inside and it keeps on restarting.

Has anyone had a any luck installing it on Toshiba? Am I just wasting my time?

I have the same laptop. It can be done but there are lots of issues, the 2 main ones are unsupported graphics card and wireless card.So no QE and no wireless. An alternative is to install Snow Leopard on VirtualBox.This is what I use,it works great,if there is something Snow Leopard can't do Window 7 is right there. For me it's much better to have a 100% working laptop with a combination of 2 OS's than to have a crippled Hackintosh!

Windows + VirtualBox = MAC OS

the last few pages have the most up to date stuff

Straight after I posed this, the installation finally went through. Even after all the updates Wifi and GFX card is not working.

I was thinking if it would work to buy an external WiFi adaptor? Wouldn't it come with the driver for Mac?

Thanx for the VB idea, I will look into it. I have never use it.

either you buy a USB wifi that's supported by OSX, or replace the WIFI card inside the laptop with a broadcom chip... like the Dell Wireless 1390 (this has been covered MANY MANY times). And yes, graphics is not supported and there is no workaround on that.

I don't understand the graphic problem. I can see that people are having difficulty seeing Mac OS, but I get 1024x768 resolution.

I can't change it but it doesn't look so bad.

So you are saying it is possible to have WiFi is I get a wifi adapter for Mac?

Do you know how to fix sound?
