billman424 Posted September 12, 2005 Share Posted September 12, 2005 ok i created a 6 gb partition using partition magic in windows xp i popped in the os x install dvd and restarted, I then. erased the partition i made then installed os x to it. when the computer rebooted it said no operating system. at this point i found xSuRgEx dual boot post, so i decided to start over , i used fdisk /mdr to fix the boot loader and used fdisk to set the windows partition as the active partition. then restart in windows, i deleted the osx partition and created a new 10 gb one, I then restarted the computer with the osx install dvd and now i get the message You need to restartm your computer.
