cavemonkey50
Just thought I would throw my story in here. It doesn't reboot for me either. What I've been doing is waiting until I get the blue screen with the rotating loading symbol, and then I hit reset on my case. When doing verbose mode, the blue loading screen is when MACH REBOOT appears, so I'm sure it's safe to just hit the reset button. I haven't ran into any problems yet doing it this way, although it is a bit of a pain. Darth Android
I have the same problem. Seems to be a ACPI error I've also discovered that if i use the reboot option from another os (I'm pent-booting), OS X hangs on startup. Essentially, OSX seems to have to be started from a cold boot, and you must shut it down. stoavio
I too seem to be having this problem. I just finished a fresh OSX86 install on a Western Digital hard drive and as soon as the installation was complete, it attempted to reboot automatically but instead froze. I haven't booted into OSX86 yet because I'm not sure if the installation was somehow affected by not being able to reboot at the end. I ended up rebooting manually using the reset button on my case. Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2.8cGHz HT enabled SSE2 Motherboard: Abit IS7 478 chipset Video Card: nVidia Geforce FX 5700 Ultra (128mb) AGP8x Memory: 1GB DDR PC2700 Hopefully I can still load OSX86. I just haven't figured it out yet! danone
Hi, I have just installed osx86 on my system too. After the installation, the reboot doesn't work. When I press the reboot button on my pc the system starts till the apple screen, and then my screen gets colored with a message to reboot. So I can't start osx. That's strange, before I have tried to install osx in a virtual machine on the same pc, and there was everything OK. Any ideas? Cheers danone Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2446-after-installation-my-machine-doesnt-reboot/#findComment-46275 Share on other sites
