superjul
Hi everybody I installed IATKOS S3 V2 2 weeks ago on my Asus K40AE and I'm quite happy with the result. However, I still have to fix a few problems and I need your help for that. 1st: i can't use any bootloader: chameleon tells me that my hibernate image is too old... I need to use the IATKOS CD to boot. It's not a big deal but I would enjoy to fix it 2nd: "about this mac" tells me that my processor is a 2.2 GHz intel core 2 duo, which is not what I have. since it doesn't create any trouble, I don't mind. Shall I care about it? 3rd: that's the real problem: my ATI mobility HD4200 chipstet is not reconized. I have a bad sound, i can't change the resolution and i can't watch any video. I know that there's no real solution for this chipset but I would really love to be able to watch some movies and listen my music. Surprisingly, sound is correct when i mouve my mouse and get jerky when i don't... pretty strange, isn't it? I don't really play games but I can't use a computer without any decent multimedia capability. If I can't fix it, there's no interest in using a hackintosh here are the informations about my graphic card, according to system profiler: Chipset Model: Unknown Type: GPU Bus: PCI Slot: Slot-1 VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x9712 Revision ID: 0x0000 ROM Revision: 113-B7710C-176 EFI Driver Version: 01.00.318 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1024 x 768 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Display Connector: please help me to avoid downgrading my computer to windows Thanks to anybody willing to help me Athlon II M320 2.1 GHz chipset AMD M880G RAM Memory 3GB DDR2-800 SATA HDD 320 GB dedicated card ATI Radeon / Mobility Radeon HD 4200 WIFI Atheros 9285 IATKOS S3 V2 + update 10.6.6 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/244567-asus-k40ae/ Share on other sites
