Charly Gears same error for me. we have nearly the same specs, but I have n i7-860, and I have a GTX 260. I think it has to do with the mobo or something. So Iam actually going to buy a different motherboard.

Charly Gears Did you ever find out what this error was? I am getting the same error when trying to boot the Retail SL Disk after booting with legacy ##### on an Intel D510MO motherboard h50
M92ManTis
I used to get this same error, try turning "Limit CPUID" or "Max CPUID Value Limit" to Disabled. It's what did the trick for me.
