SpeedfreaK
Hello (again, after a couple of years ), My girlfriend has a dell vostro 1510 and complains a lot about it, so i thought i install os x on it like i did on my old p4 dell a couple of years ago (using the 10.4.6 JAS dvd). A lot has changed in this community since then, so I'm not up to date with the current possibilities. I searched the forum for a method to install it on a vostro 1510 and read various topics with problems and some solutions, but no topic with the "super solution". So i ask it here: is it possible to install os x 10.6.x on a vostro 1510 with everything working (sleep, wifi, sound, ...) ? Specs: Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5670 (1.8GHz) Memory: 2GB - 2 DIMM (DDR2-667) (4GB max) HDD: 160GB 5400RPM HDD Graphics: Intel X3100 integrated graphics Display: 15.4" WXGA Antiglare Optical drive: Slot-loading 8x DVD +/- RW Thanks! whonch
Yes. I used this tutorial http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=191746 about a year ago, and I could install it without having any previous experience. Everything works for me except the memory card reader (which I barely use). I have the nvidia graphics card instead of the intel one though, so maybe something changes from the tutorial.
