Krishna21
Hello guys! I'll get to the chase. This is for the ASUS P7P55D Deluxe AND the ASUS P7P55D. This guide was used with a EN GTX 470 by ASUS. If you have to follow alternative instructions for your video card that is not listed in the guide, just continue with the method for your specific video card you have! My computer information: Intel Core i7 920 ASUS P7P55D Deluxe ASUS EN GTX 470 8GB of DDR3 RAM What you need: 1) ##### 2.6 2) ##### 3.0.3 3) Modified DSDT.aml for F9 Bios 4) Mac OS X 10.6.0 Install Disc 5) Mac OS X 10.6.6 Update Combined 6) A flash drive (At least 2GB) to store #####, DSDT.aml, The Quadro 4000 PKG, and the Mac OS X 10.6.6 Update on. 7) ENGTX 470 Users The Official Quadro 4000 V256 Package (Obtainable from NVIDIA's Website) 7) Some time Tonymacx86 Forum Moderators have request users NOT to post the Download links on any other website, so you will have to go to their forum website yourself to download ##### and #####! Next to that, the modified DSDT file can also be retrieved from the DSDT Database from Tonymacx86 as well! MANY thanks to Tonymacx86 and his community for an amazing method and support system for OSx86 Start by burning the ##### 2.6 to a DVD+R at slow speed. I used ImgBurn at 4x Speed. Boot into the DVD. Once you are on the Chameleon Splash screen, take the DVD Out, put the Snow Leopard DVD in, and push F5 to refresh. Boot with -v -x. If you are using a GTX 470 Card like me, I booted with -v -x PciRoot=1. Format your destination disk as HFS+, GUID Scheme, 1 Partition. (If you are following a dual/triple/quad/multi boot guide in collaboration with this guide, then please format your drive according to the guidelines of the multi boot guide you are using.) Install. Boot again with the ##### 2.6 DVD. Use -v -x. Now, plug in the flash drive you had. Run the Mac OS X 10.6.6 Update Combined installer. Let it install. DO NOT REBOOT. After that is finished, run #####. I had my own DSDT.aml file. Select the following. What you need to select will be in bold. The text in NON BOLD is simply the categories that you will see in #####, and I typed them out for you for ease (Don't thank me ) -System Utilities -Rebuild Caches -Repair Permissions -Drivers and Bootloaders -Kexts and Enablers -Audio -Realtek ALC8xx -Universal -VoodooHDA 0.2.56 -Disk -JMicron36x -JMicron 36x SATA -JMicron 36x eSATA -Miscellaneous -Fakesmc -Network -Realtek Gigabit Ethernet -RealtekR1000SL -Bootloaders -Chameleon 2.0RC5 Pre-Release -Themes (OPTIONAL) -Chameleon RC5 Default -OSx86 Software -Kext Helper b7 -Kext Utility -Show all Files -MSR Tools Then install After installation, navigate to /Extra on the Hard Drive you installed ##### to. In /Extra, drag-and-drop DSDT.aml from your flash drive to the /Extra folder. It will say you do not have the permissions--click "Authenticate" and enter your password. If you did not input a password, click Authenticate and simply push "Ok". Reboot. Mac OS X 10.6.6 should now be functional. Enjoy!! If you are using a ENGTX 470 like me, after you reboot and you are in OS X 10.6.6, please run the Quadro 4000 V256 PKG from NVIDIA! It is obtainable on their website. Install that THEN reboot. Now your OS X should be fully ready for use. Krishna21
NextMac: My sincere apologies--I meant to say i7 870. H17737: Several things confusing me. I don't know, there could've been an error with the flash drive, as ##### is reccomended for CD. OS X 10.6.3 could be the problem, I use a Mac OS X 10.6.0 DVD. Also, please enable LAN, IEEE, and HDA in BIOS Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/244364-guide-asus-p7p55d-deluxe-and-mac-os-x-hackintosh-d-1066/#findComment-1629441 Share on other sites
H17737
Yeah thanks, that was it, I successfully installed it all the same day by burning ##### just a detail, I used PCIRootUID=1, seems it's how it's used since the new version of ##### and right, seems you don't need to change anything but the AHCI settings For those having a 1702 or 1807 bios version, check out the DSDT or the fourth post here Everything is working but the automatic sleep, manual sleep works fine though Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/244364-guide-asus-p7p55d-deluxe-and-mac-os-x-hackintosh-d-1066/#findComment-1629504 Share on other sites
